Hello Everyone,

My father, Jose Martinez, recently fell off a ladder while he was trying to cut down some trees and a branch swept him off his feet. His injuries consist of a fractured skull, back, ribs, and collarbone leading to him needing surgery and giving him the 2% possibility of ever being able to walk again. He currently remains in the ICU/trauma ward, and while we have faith that he will get through, we know the chances are slim as there is severe damage to his spinal cord.

Those who know my dad know the amazing guy that he is. He’s always been the type of person to lend his hand to someone else, whether that be a friend or a stranger. Those who know our family also know he’s always been our household’s only income source, often working 14 to 16 hours a day as my brother and I were growing up.

While my brother and I will be working to pay off any expenses and medical bills, this has taken a toll on our family. The money donated will be used towards my dad’s medical bills, a wheelchair, and day-to-day expenses as we get used to our new life. We thank you for your generosity.
