Support for Jorge Garcia's Grieving Family
Last Sunday morning (July 27th), our beloved brother and son Jorge Garcia was hit by a car while crossing the street in Pacific Beach, CA. The driver pulled over and called 911, and despite the best efforts of the first responders, passed away at the scene. He was only 31 years old, having celebrated his birthday three weeks prior.
We miss Jorge dearly, and our family is heartbroken and shocked over such a beautiful, kind soul being taken so young. Jorge was talented (he played 4 instruments and was a member of several bands in San Diego), dedicated (he graduated from trade school and had started working as a mechanic for Subaru), and above all else, kind (he donated regularly to causes he supported to benefit the less fortunate- even when he had very little, he always did what he could to help).
By donating to our campaign, you will be supporting Jorge’s family as they navigate this traumatic time. He is survived by his mother and father, his older brother, his younger sister, and his extended family, all of whom thought the world of him. His parents are immigrants and over the age of 60, and Jorge lived with them to pay their bills and contribute to their rent each month. The family deeply appreciates any support you can give as they get back on their feet and recover from both the loss of their beloved son and their financial security.
Thank you so much for reading this and remembering Jorge. If you can leave a comment or note in remembrance him, we’d love to add it to our memorial.
Sincerely,
The Garcia Family (Jorge, Altagracia, Juan, & Angélica)
