Support for Jordyn & Her Family - Fight with DIPG

On July 30th, 2020, Jordyn’s parents, Karen Ho and Ringo Chan received the worst news imaginable. Their eldest daughter, Jordyn, who recently started having trouble focusing her eyes, was having issues with falls and started to limp. After seeing the pediatrician, they were immediately referred for an CT at Mackenzie Health, then a MRI at Sick Kid’s hospital, where it was confirmed that Jordyn has diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). It is an aggressive brain tumour found in children which is inoperable due to it being located in the brain stem. There is currently no cure available.
Between 6 weeks of continuous radiation treatments and taking care of Jordyn (almost 6), and her siblings: Jaclyn (4) and Jake (almost 2), their family and friends are hoping this GoFundMe fund can help Karen and Ringo focus on being with their family during these difficult times. The funds will go toward transportation and accommodations for hospital visits, helping with expenses so the parents can spend more time at home and we also hope to provide Jordyn with some amazing memories while she is going through this battle.
