Support for Jordan’s family as she’s laid to rest
Jordan was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (a congenital heart defect that leaves half of her heart undeveloped) by the age of 3 she had already undergone 3 open heart surgeries to redirect the blood flow and create a pathway to supply her body with blood. Although she has battled many circulatory issues and undergone 10+ heart catheterizations she has always been a super fighter determined to live an adventurous and high quality life. She has beat so many odds and continues to bring joy to everyone who knows her.
This past year she was diagnosed with scoliosis and due to the severity of the curvature of her spine she had to endure an 8 hr back surgery in December that leaves her heart and in turn other organs still trying to recover. She is currently intubated in the cardiac ICU waiting for her body to stabilize enough for another open heart surgery and potentially a heart transplant.
Jordan’s mom Casey is a Neonatal nurse and sits at Jordan’s bedside nearly 100% of the time unable to work, spend time with Jordan’s brother and sister or do anything to fix Jordan’s situation as any mother would be desperate to. With the length of their hospital stay being unknown, the burdens of being unable to work and still having all the everyday living expenses to pay on top of the medical and travel expenses is more than anyone should have to carry alone.
Your support would help take some of the financial pressure off of Casey so she can continue to be there to get her daughter through this time that no 13 year old should have to endure and hopefully help pay for a celebratory vacation for Jordan and her family when all of this isover.
There are not many people in this world as caring, giving, strong and determined as Jordan and Casey and as Casey’s friends and co-workers we are honored to help raise this support on their behalf.
