On June 8, 2026, our lives changed forever when Jonathan Pettigrew was taken from us in a senseless act of violence. Jonathan was tragically murdered on a BX36 bus in the Bronx, leaving behind seven children who will never again see their father's smile, hear his laugh, or feel his embrace.

Jonathan was a hardworking and devoted father who wanted nothing but the best for his children and for himself. He led by example, teaching his sons how to be respectful young men and his daughters how to carry themselves with confidence and dignity. He had recently achieved a major milestone by getting his own place and was proudly raising his youngest daughter as a single father with full custody.

Anyone who knew Jonathan knew he had a kind heart. He loved helping others, making people laugh, and bringing joy wherever he went. He was passionate about sports and could spend hours talking about the teams and games he loved. Most importantly, he cherished time with his children, whether it was taking the younger ones to the park or simply spending quality time doing the things they enjoyed most.

Jonathan was deeply loved by his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. His loss leaves an unimaginable void, but his love, dedication, laughter, and the memories he created will live on through his children and all those whose lives he touched.
