Support for Jonahlyn Colona's Funeral Expenses

It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my cousin on October 1, 2024. Any contributions received through this GoFundMe will be directed towards her funeral expenses and to support her family, as she was their sole provider.

My name is Ria Mae Colona Villalobos Mangahas. I am arranging this GoFundMe on behalf of my first cousin Jonahlyn ‘Nini’ Colona. She’s 26 years old and currently residing in Upli, Alfonso, Cavite Philippines. On September 18, 2024, she rode a motorcycle to work via ride share, Angkas app. Unfortunately, the driver lost control of the vehicle and she was flown off the motorcycle hitting her head against the street curb. Although she was wearing a helmet at the time of accident, her helmet cracked due to the strong impact from the fall. Nini suffered several traumatic head injuries and is now being treated in the ICU of Silang Specialists Medical Cavite in Silang Cavite Philippines. Her doctors are closely monitoring her and we are expecting them to perform a surgery. The funds raised will be used for Nini’s medical bills which includes surgery cost, post-surgery care, rehabilitation costs and the daily expenses associated with her hospitalization.

For those of you who know my cousin, she is loved by many in the community. As a child, she lost her mom due to kidney failure. Despite this, she grew up to be a strong, beautiful and intelligent young woman. She was the first college graduate in her family and passed the CPA exam to be a licensed CPA at the age of 22. She loves to sing karaoke, travel, is a vegetarian, and she loves animals. Nini is family-oriented and is the only bread winner in the family of 6. She goes out of her way to help her family in any way she could such as helping with bills, transportation or with her sister’s college tuition. She is a caring and loving young woman who has so much more life ahead of her.
