On Thursday, March 12, 2026, the community of Homerville experienced a heartbreaking loss. Jonah Blake Pittman, 18, of Homerville, passed away at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville from injuries sustained in an accident.

Jonah was born in Valdosta to his loving parents, Jeremy Blake Pittman and Kristen Smith Pittman. He was a senior at Clinch County High School, where he had played football until his junior year and continued to be one of the biggest supporters of all CCHS sports. Jonah had a way of bringing people together and truly loved being around his friends. He had a passion for music, especially country and rock, and loved playing his guitar. Many of his happiest moments were spent riding dirt roads, laughing with friends, and making memories. One of the roles he cherished most in life was being an uncle to his sweet niece, Rynleigh Blake. Four years ago, Jonah went through a life-changing journey when he received a heart transplant. Through it all, he showed incredible strength, resilience, and faith. That experience never took away his joy for life—instead, it made him appreciate it even more and inspired those around him. Jonah’s life was full of love, laughter, and the kind of joy that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His passing has left an unimaginable hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire community. During this incredibly difficult time, we are starting this GoFundMe to help Kristen, and their family with funeral expenses and the unexpected costs that come in the days ahead.
