Support for Johnston family - medical emergency and dialysis

Hi. My name is Theresa, I am fundraising on behalf of my friends Audrey and Craig Johnston. Craig is currently in hospital after being air lifted by STARS ambulance. His heart stopped, Audrey performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took over.

Craig is undergoing tests, doctors have advised he will need a pacemaker, physio, cardiac rehab and medical aids to assist him when he finally gets to go home. We have no indication on the length of hospital stay.

Craig started dialysis recently, causing him to be on medical leave until a kidney transplant takes place.

Audrey has had 2 heart attacks in the last year and is unable to work in her previous capacity.

Craig and Audrey live in a small town, Audrey is traveling to the city daily. Help with gas money, parking, hospital meals, household bills and expenses would be appreciated during this stressful time.

Update:

On Jan 13, 2025 Craig had a pacemaker implanted. He came home today (Jan. 15). He is happy to be home, still experiencing pain from cpr and surgery. He will have numerous medical appointments in the next while.
