Our family is walking through a difficult season as John (aka Johnny Mac, JMac, and most lovingly - Mac Mac) fights bladder cancer with incredible strength and determination. His journey has included multiple surgeries, ostomies, participation in a clinical trial, and managing unexpected complications along the way - making this process more complex than we ever anticipated.
John was diagnosed with Stage 4 squamous cell bladder cancer, and while he was able to participate in a clinical trial, not all costs have been covered by insurance—especially when claims are denied. Recently, a serious infection forced him to leave the trial, and now we are focused on clearing the infection and searching for another course of treatment. The emotional and financial toll has been significant, but we remain hopeful and committed to supporting John every step of the way.
While we are thankful for the medical care available, many costs fall outside of insurance coverage and continue to add up. If you feel led to support, any contribution helps ease the financial burden and allows us to focus on what matters most—his healing and time together as a family. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.
