On March 21st, 2026, our family experienced a loss no parent should ever have to endure. Johnel Ellison III, a 22-year-old active duty U.S. Marine, and his wife Allison lost their only child, baby Zyire, suddenly at just 3 months old. Zyire was born premature and spent his first weeks fighting in the NICU. From the beginning, he showed strength, resilience, and a beautiful fighting spirit. His parents loved him deeply and stood by his side every moment. What should have been a lifetime of memories has turned into unimaginable heartbreak.
And the hardship didn’t stop there. After being displaced from their home, this young family lost their only vehicle, leaving them without transportation during one of the most painful times in their lives. Johnel has continued to serve our country through all of this — while grieving the loss of his son and trying to hold his family together.
We are raising funds to help with emergency housing and stability, funeral and memorial expenses, transportation (repair or replacement vehicle), and basic daily needs during recovery.
Any donation — no matter how small — will help this young Marine family begin to rebuild after devastating loss. If you are unable to give, please share this with others. Let’s come together and show them they are not alone.
