Everything has changed in an instant. Our dear friend John Wright was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer, and the news has left all of us reeling. What we know so far is heartbreaking! Doctors discovered a golf-ball-sized tumor in his brain, and the cancer has already spread to his lungs and spine.

This diagnosis comes after years of pain and struggle. John hasn’t been able to work for the past year and a half and has been to every specialist imaginable, running every test possible — yet no one could explain why he was feeling so unwell. None of those tests ever included a CT scan. It wasn’t until he experienced a month-long migraine that a visit to the ER finally led to answers.

The next few weeks will bring more information about his treatment options, and we’ll continue to share updates here as his medical team develops a plan. For now, John, Julee, Jacob, and Grace are facing an overwhelming amount of uncertainty — physically, emotionally, and financially.
