A fellow crew member is trying to raise money for the late John Miro. Johnny was recently working as a crossing guard when a driver ran up on the curb and struck him with his vehicle. Medical services brought Johnny to the hospital in critical condition, and a few days later, he passed away. John Miro spent his entire career in the tugboat transportation industry. He looked forward to finally being able to be home every day for his family and to spend his retirement years helping the community as a crossing guard. This fundraiser is to get a memorial metal placard for Johnny at the crosswalk where he passed. The rest of the money will go to the family.
