I'm Tejaye, sister of my recently deceased brother, John Lewis. John lived in a nursing facility in DC and passed on February 23, 2026.

Newly incorporated mandates of the nursing home and morgue forced a 4-hour removal and pickup from the nursing home.

John was not insured, and I was forced to prepare for his departure with Stuart Funeral Home. Service date is 3/28/2026 in the chapel of the funeral home.

An initial deposit was given the day arrangements were made. There is a balance of $1,709.62 that must be paid by 3/25/26 in order for the service to proceed. Any assistance you do graciously give is greatly appreciated.
