John James DURKIN, age 69, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, surrounded by his family. He was born on Aug. 5, 1956 in Cleveland OH, to his late parents Catherine L. (nee Dailey) and John P. Durkin.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather to his family. He served the City of Seven Hills as a dedicated Police Officer for over 29 years, retiring as Executive Lieutenant. He was a member of the Red Hackle Pipes and Drums, playing the bagpipes. He enjoyed camping and boating and was a motorcycle enthusiast.

John was the loving husband of Carol L. (nee Sopata). He was the proud father of Jennifer, Lisa, and Jessica. John was a dear grandfather of Hunter, Damian, Brielle, and Talyah. He was a loving brother of Gary (Elaine), Valerie (Ed), Ronald (Margaret), and Daniel (Ann Marie). John was preceded in death by his beloved late wife, Mary Elizabeth (nee Zugel).
