This GoFundMe is a call for the community to reach out and help lift a family up from tragedy, help them cover some of the costs of the funeral expense and the large changes that his family will now have to go through after the tragic death of a dear friend to this community.

John Borland (44) was a pillar of the community, his early death and subsequent robbery/theft is absolutely a tragedy.

John, a beloved Son, Brother, Partner, Father, Friend, was taken from us too soon by a heart attack. Leaving behind his legacy of entrepreneurship and leadership in a family that can’t be replaced.

John owned businesses, and ran some of the largest events of his industry in the mid Missouri area. He was a “Grassroots” proponent of local businesses and industry and taking care of his community.

In the hours following his death, a small group of people conspired and broke into his home, stealing money and valuable belongings, leaving his family with even less to cover the life changes that are about to unfold.

When tragedy strikes a community, its strength is shown in the following days by how and how much the community is willing to support those who fell victim to the tragedy.
