Support for John Baldwin's Recovery

John was injured on 11/26/16. He was in his backyard trimming his tree, when the branch he was cutting, fell towards John, instead of away from him. Nine times out of ten, he would have had his ladder tied to the tree, but chose not to that day. John fell 12 feet to the ground. John crawled to his house and called out to Kurt. He was taken to OU via ambulance. He had emergency neurosurgery that afternoon. John broke several ribs, punctured both lungs, shattered vertebrates in his back, which damaged his spinal chord. He was in Trauma ICU at OU until yesterday. He was then moved to a regular trauma room. at OU. We are hoping he will be moved to a rehabilitation hospital in the next couple weeks, where he will undergo intense physical and occupational rehab.
John has been a hard working man his whole life. He has worked with his hands and body for over 40 years. He is a very talented carpenter, car restorer, painter and ac/heat technician.
John's future is undetermined. The doctors say with a spinal chord injury, they just can't tell us how it will all turn out. But, what we do know is he is going to have a long road to recover and he will be unable to work for months, possibly more.
Many have called and and asked " what can I do?" I tell everyone that their prayers are much appreciated. Prayers are powerful!! But, in the meantime John's bills have to get paid and a family member told me about GoFundMe, so I am trusting in the Lord and posting this.
Please donate if you are able. Everything or anything will help.
We appreciate everyone's concern about John and I will try my best to keep this updated with his progress.
God bless you and may everyone have a blessed holiday season.
