Hi,

My name is Sophia Lee and I am creating this Go Fund Me on behalf of my brother, John Lee. On Saturday, March 7th, shortly after 1pm, he arrived home to see smoke pouring out of his house. The fire department was called, but by the time they got there, the kitchen and part of the living room were fully engulfed in flames. Everything my brother has is gone.

His items will be replaced, but, he also lost his beloved cat of four years, MayC.

Here is what he wrote as tribute to her on the night of the fire:

"My 4 year old cat, MayC, did not survive the smoke. They found her with her eyes closed, most likely asleep in her favorite spot. She did not suffer, the fire did not reach her. I will miss her early morning nuzzles, letting me know that 4am is indeed time for breakfast. I'll miss the way she would stretch herself out on my leg to greet me right as I got home from work every day. I will miss her raspy meow and her soft, slow blinks. MayC, we did not have nearly enough time together and I will miss you every day that I live. I hope Gus was there to meet you on the other side, and I know we'll all meet again on some sunny day."

I know my brother has been saving money for future endeavors, and he was donating plasma at Biolife in Mankato when the fire broke out. Now, he will have to replace everything - clothes, furniture, a mattress, kitchen items, etc. He will be living with our parents until he can get back on his feet. I also am asking for my friends and family to please keep my brother in your prayers while he gets through this difficult time.
