With heavy hearts, we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of Joey Wilson, a beloved father, husband, son, and friend. He Tragically lost his life Wednesday evening (1/29/25) as the sole victim of the single vehicle accident on interstate 275 and 94 in Romulus, leaving behind his wife Kaytlyn and their two young children.

Joey, at the young age of 31 was a devoted family man. Always putting his loved ones first. His laughter, kindness and unwavering support touched everyone who knew him. His passing has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who loved him and now this family faces not only the emotional pain of this loss but also the unexpected financial burdens.

Among those most affected by this heartbreaking loss is Joey’s 4-year-old son, who has autism and is non-verbal. Joey was one of his biggest advocates, providing him with unwavering love, patience, and support. His absence leaves a profound gap in this little boy’s world, making an already challenging journey even more difficult. As his family navigates this devastating time, they are also faced with ensuring he continues to receive the care, therapy, and stability he needs to thrive—something Joey worked tirelessly to provide.

Joey was also a hero and role model to his 7-year-old daughter, Paisley. She adored her father, and the bond they shared was unbreakable. Whether they were playing together, sharing laughs, or simply spending time side by side, Joey was her world. He was the one she looked up to, the one who made her feel safe and loved. His passing has left a void that no child should ever have to experience, and as she tries to navigate life without her daddy, her family is doing everything they can to provide her with the love, support, and stability she needs during this heartbreaking time.
