Joe was my best friend's stepdad, and he meant the world to her and her family. He was a wonderful human being—funny, smart, and kind. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him, and his loss has left a deep void in the lives of everyone who knew him.

We found out this past summer that Joe had prostate cancer. What started as devastating news quickly became unimaginable, as the cancer spread aggressively into his bones. In a matter of months, he was facing a terminal diagnosis that progressed far faster than anyone expected.

Despite the rapid decline, Joe faced it with strength, humor, and the same loving spirit that defined his life. His family stood by him every step of the way, and their love for him never wavered.

In addition to cremation expenses, we are also raising funds to help with the cost of relocating Joe’s wife from Alabama back home to Ohio. Alabama was where she built her life with Joe, and now, in the wake of this heartbreaking loss, she is navigating life without him.
