I am reaching out for support for my father's funeral services. My dad was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2005. In that same year, he had brain surgery. At that time, he only needed to follow his radiation therapy; no chemo was needed, and he lived for 13 years in remission (cancer-free). But in 2020, the cancer returned aggressively, and from that date, he was placed on chemotherapy and radiation. He also had Gamma Knife surgery, but his cancer kept progressing, limiting his mobility and affecting his left side, which became paralyzed. He would go to the hospital and was admitted many times.
Later, in January 2025, he got very sick. His doctor's team advised that there was nothing to do, and he only had 0-6 months left. He was placed on hospice care at home. On June 21, 2025, my father passed away. He was a very humble person, always caring for everyone. He had a passion for nature and animals like horses and bunnies. He was very compassionate and made sure he put a smile on your face. He was a great husband, loving father, and a proud grandfather.
We're grateful for any support during this challenging time. Your kindness will mean a lot to us and help us honor my father Joel's legacy.
