A Heartfelt Update: A Day That Changed Our Lives Forever
On October 23, 2025, our lives were tragically altered when a drunk driver caused an accident that would take my beautiful mom and my precious baby from us. My mom passed away at the scene of the accident, and my heart will never be the same. My baby girl, who was only 3 weeks old at the time, fought bravely for her life but tragically succumbed to her injuries on October 27, 2025.
Yesterday, on November 24, 2025, we laid them to rest. The weight of saying goodbye to my mom, my protector, my heart, and to my sweet daughter, who was taken from us far too soon, is beyond what words can express. In that moment, we found strength in honoring their lives, sharing stories, and knowing that they are now resting in peace together. Though they are no longer with us, they will forever remain in our hearts.
The loss of both my mom and my daughter has left a void that will never be filled. The grief is overwhelming, but knowing they are together gives me some peace.
In addition to our deep sorrow, I want to acknowledge the other four occupants in the vehicle—my dad, my sister, my son, and my cousin—who all sustained injuries. They are on the road to recovery, but the financial burden of their medical bills is significant. As they heal, we are doing everything we can to support them, and any help with these medical expenses would be deeply appreciated.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has shown love, support, and generosity during this unimaginable time. The donations we have received—many from strangers who have heard our story—have been a lifeline. Your kindness is helping us through the darkest days, and we are incredibly grateful for each person who has donated or offered prayers.
Thank you for helping us honor my mom and baby, and for standing by us as we continue to navigate this painful journey. Your support is a reminder that even in the darkest times, we are not alone.
