Hello, everyone. I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to share some difficult news about my beloved brother-in-law, Joe Micek. Over the past few months, Joe has faced significant health challenges, and we need your support now more than ever.
Earlier this year, we were relieved to receive good news regarding Joe’s scans and labs. Unfortunately, in September, we learned that his cancer had returned, and Joe had to restart chemotherapy. While things were manageable for a while, everything changed dramatically eight days ago when Joe suddenly experienced severe abdominal pain and vomiting. He was rushed to the emergency department, where he was diagnosed with an internal hernia. Joe underwent surgery, which initially seemed successful, but complications soon arose. He developed both bacterial and fungal infections and is now battling a significant amount of fluid buildup in his abdomen. Despite these challenges, Joe remains a fighter. He’s scheduled for another surgery today to address a bile leak, and we’re hopeful this will help him on the road to recovery.
We are asking for your help in any way you can. Donations or gift cards would be greatly appreciated to assist with medical expenses, daily living costs, and to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. No contribution is too small, and every bit helps us support Joe and my sister, Michelle, as they continue to navigate this difficult journey. Please keep Joe and Michelle in your thoughts and prayers. Your love and support mean the world to them and to all of us who care deeply for the entire family.
