Hi everyone my name is Edel and I’m raising funds to support my younger brother Joe, who is only 15, who has been diagnosed with stage 1 Rhabdomyosarcoma.

Joe was first taken to the hospital in December and after further tests he was officially diagnosed in January, since then it’s meant we’ve had a lot of changes very quickly at home as a family and he is now undergoing regular chemotherapy treatment in Nottingham weekly which requires frequent hospital visits.

We do not live close to Nottingham and the ongoing travel has added lots of pressure in all aspects physically emotionally and financially. The aim of the fundraiser is to simply help alleviate some of that stress allowing Joe and our family to focus fully on his treatment and recovery without worry of associated costs.

Joe has been so incredibly strong during all of this and we are so grateful that his cancer has been caught at an early stage, however cancer can still be an incredibly long journey.
