Jodie is my sister, and she’s always been someone who works hard and takes care of herself. Recently, she became very ill, and as a self-employed single person, she has no other financial support to fall back on. Her illness has made it impossible for her to work, and it’s been heartbreaking to see her struggle with both her health and her finances.

Jodie relies solely on Medicare for her health insurance, but as many know, it doesn’t cover everything. She lives paycheck to paycheck, without any savings to help her through this difficult time. Now, unable to work, she’s facing mounting bills and the stress of not knowing how she’ll pay for rent, utilities, and the medical expenses that Medicare won’t cover. As a renter and a single person, she has no other source of income or support.
