With heavy hearts, we share that Joan has passed away peacefully. This fundraiser was originally written in her own words during her time in hospice, and we have chosen to preserve the spirit of her message while updating it to reflect this new chapter.

Joan faced her diagnosis with courage, grace, and deep appreciation for the love that surrounded her. She was profoundly grateful for the friends and family who showed up for her — through messages, visits, prayers, and acts of kindness. That love carried her through an incredibly difficult season.

The financial realities surrounding medical care, hospice, and funeral expenses remain, and your support will help ease that burden so Don can focus on healing and remembrance rather than immediate financial stress.
