It is with profound sadness that I share the heartbreaking news of the passing of my dear cousin, Joana Marie Ortiz. Last night, Joana, just 30 years old, tragically passed away from cardiac arrest due to septicemia, a complication resulting from her ongoing battle with chronic illnesses. Despite her health challenges, Joana always remained a fighter, determined to recover and return to the things she loved most—being a devoted mother to her two beautiful daughters, Violet and Penelope.

Her untimely departure leaves a tremendous void in the lives of her family, especially her young daughters, who are left without their loving mother, and her husband, Christopher, who is now left to navigate this difficult time with his daughters.
