Im Jennifer Boyd the daughter of Joan Cargile my mother went to visit her husband my step father at piedmont medical located in Cartersville ga on April 11th 2025 while exiting the hospital my mother slipped and fell and she broke her hip and that would be the last time I seen my mother on her feet or as her normal self. I went to visit her the next morning and I received horrible news, they said my mother had a stroke later on that night which was unbelievable and shocking and also stressful and odd mainly because I never received a call or message from the hospital notifying me of this I had to find out the next day after going to visit her for what I thought was just a broken hip. My mother took care of my disabled sister who is 60+years old and bed rest from a car accident when she was 16 years old and she was the head of household and my children’s guardian at one point also. A few days later I would receive a call that my mother suffered 3 more strokes while in surgery for the broken hip after they told me she was in recovery giving up all my hope that my mother was going to be okay. She was placed in icu and I was told she had all types of blockages and heart and brain issues and it got worse and worse yesterday on Easter Sunday my mother unfortunately passed away by my side I have no money for her funeral or any funds to even arrange for her funeral any donations will be very helpful and our family will appreciate the kindness and support during this unfortunate tragic event my disabled sister now is without her mother who took care of her for 44 years since she was a teen my kids have to bury their grandmother and aren’t mentally prepared for it. Their other grandmother had a stroke October 11th and has been in a nursing home since and now they have to go through another loss but this time with death. Please donate anything for the family to bury our loved one god bless you all!! If you knew Joan you knew she was a big family person she welcomed anyone and I mean anyone into her home if they needed anywhere to stay she always loved everyone and she was a very religious person it never went a day she wouldn’t be preaching about Jesus and reading the Bible and teaching her grandchildren about Christianity may she rest in peace and watch over us in this difficult time.
