We are reaching out today with heavy hearts and an urgent request for help for Jimmy LaValla and our family. On February 13, 2026, Jimmy suffered a devastating medical emergency—two rare strokes and a heart attack—that changed everything in an instant. The strokes have left him with left-sided weakness and difficulty speaking, swallowing, and walking. He was life-flighted from Roseau, MN to Sanford in Fargo, ND, where he spent a week in the hospital before being transferred for intensive physical therapy and rehab. He will remain there until he is strong enough to return home.

This medical crisis has created a significant financial hardship for our family. With Jimmy hospitalized far from home, travel expenses, lodging, and medical costs are quickly adding up. On top of that, the loss of income and unexpected bills have made this time even more challenging. Our family wants nothing more than to be by Jimmy’s side, cheering him on as he works to recover, but the costs are overwhelming.
