Jimi’s MS has been progressing rapidly. Jimi sang for punk bands Capital Punishment, Hell’s Kitchen and Strychnine. Now, he is no longer able to walk and can’t stand without assistance. He gets around the house on a scooter. Jimi and Jessica need to remodel the bathroom so Jimi can get in and out and shower by himself, and enlarge the bedroom so he can get in and out of bed on his own. Jimi has fallen numerous times in the existing bathroom when Jessica has been away working. Each time he has had to call the fire department to get him back in his chair, often lying on the floor for quite some time waiting for help. The cost for both bathroom and bedroom is $80,000! (They’ve gotten 2 estimates that came in at roughly the same number – there’s a lot involved.) They will need to take out a second mortgage to cover these costs – let’s help prevent that! Let’s help Jimi and Jessica with the remodeling costs so Jimi can move safely around his home and maintain some autonomy.
