Support for Jim Johnsen and Family

My name is Ali, and I am creating this fundraiser to help fulfil my grandpa's final wishes. Jim Johnsen is currently in hospice care due to many medical complications. This situation has taken not only an emotional toll but also a financial one. Unfortunately, we have found out that there has not been any preparation leading up to this time, so we are facing the daunting task of finding funds. We are humbly asking for donations to help cover the cost of cremation and a service where we can celebrate our grandfather's life, honor his memory, and say our last goodbyes.

If you know him, you know that his passions in life are his family and playing/watching/thinking/dreaming softball and baseball (which may explain why he was inducted into the Metro Omaha Softball Hall of Fame in 2021). My grandpa loves and is loved by countless people, and I have hope that we can rally together and make this heartbreaking process just a little bit easier.

All funds that are raised will go towards cremation and a celebration of life. The impact that this is having on my mom, Sherry, is made even more difficult by the fact that grandpa lived with her and helped by making half of the mortgage payments. If there are any additional funds, they will go directly to helping my mom keep up with house payments.
