Support for Jill Lattanzio

Donation protected
Jill Lattanzio was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s last July at 45 years old. Her case is the youngest diagnosis of Alzheimer’s that Jefferson Hospital has even seen. Like many families that have experienced this illness, it was met by ours with much confusion, heartbreak, and reluctance to accept its effect on our family. Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating disease with no cure.  Already, Alzheimer’s disease has stolen so much from Jill, Matthew, Lillian and Lanie. Lili and Lanie are only 8 and 6 years old, respectively. With each day that passes, the girls are losing more and more of their mother.

We are reaching out to family and friends, and anyone who may be able to help. Jill has been out of work since January 2019. As a result, Matthew has been working nonstop, traveling to and from the Jersey shore on a daily basis to keep the coffee shop in Philadelphia afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has greatly affected the business. Between doctor appointments, testing, medications, bills, and trying to maintain a “normal” life for the girls, the costs only continue to increase.

Additionally, the girls will be fully online for school this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This will require someone to sit with the girls every day to set them up for online class and help them with their schoolwork. Unfortunately, Jill is unable to help the girls with their online schooling. With help from family and friends, we are hoping to either provide additional childcare for the girls or enroll them in a school with in-person classes. We are asking for any and all help. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping this family cope with such a devastating disease. Thank you and God bless. Sincerely, Jackie Purfield, Jill’s sister & Malarie Doyle, Matthew’s sister
