My brother-in-law, Jevon, was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma cancer of the oropharynx. This is a large tumor on his neck that affects his speech, swallowing, and breathing. The diagnosis has been devastating for our family, and the journey ahead is filled with uncertainty and challenges. Jevon began his treatment in December 2025, and since then, he has not been able to work due to the severity of his condition and the demands of his medical care.

Jevon is self-employed, and his inability to work has put a tremendous financial strain on his family. He and my sister have three children, ages 12, 16, and 20, who all depend on his income. With only my sister's income to support the household, they are struggling to cover daily living expenses while also managing the emotional and physical toll of Jevon's illness. The funds raised will go directly toward helping them with essential needs during this difficult time.

Jevon is a local coach who has made a positive impact on many children in our community. He is deeply involved in his children's lives and their sports, never missing a game whether it's in town or traveling. He is an amazing husband and father, and his dedication to his family and community is truly inspiring.
