With heavy hearts, we share the devastating news that Jesus Herrera—a loving father, devoted son, and beloved husband of 23 years—and his wife, Silvia Herrera, a devoted mother and wife, were recently involved in a tragic car accident that has forever changed their family. Jesus tragically lost his life on the evening of December 18, 2025, on Highway 33 just north of Vernalis Road, southeast of Tracy. Silvia is currently in critical condition, bravely fighting for her life.

For 23 years, Jesus and Silvia built a life rooted in love, faith, and deep commitment to one another and their family. Jesus worked as a dental technician, while Silvia dedicated her evenings as a packaging technician so she could be home caring for their children during the day. Together, they created a beautiful blended family of five children, including three younger children (ages 5, 6, and 8) they had recently adopted and were lovingly raising as their own. Guided by compassion and trust in God’s purpose, Jesus and Silvia opened their hearts and their home to children in need, creating a loving, safe, and faith-filled family.

As Silvia remains hospitalized, medical bills continue to grow, and everyday necessities such as rent, food, and basic living expenses are urgent concerns for their loved ones. On top of this, the family is now faced with the unexpected burden of funeral expenses for Jesus. The days ahead are unknown, and the focus right now is on survival, healing, and supporting the children through this unimaginable loss. Every contribution will help ease these financial pressures, allowing Silvia and her family to focus on healing and honoring Jesus’s memory.
