Support for Jessy and Selan Family

Hi friends and family!

We want to give a big thank you for all the love and support we have received. As many of you are now aware, my sister Jessica was recently diagnosed with Postpartum Psychosis.

Jessy gave birth to the newest addition to the family, Oswald, at the beginning of the month. Oswald was in NICU for 2 full weeks until he was finally able to come home. The 2 week hospital stay added up, and meanwhile Jessica started losing sleep. With only a couple days back home with Oswald, my sister’s lack of sleep started becoming much more concerning. Between Sunday January 19th and Monday January 20th, my sister’s sleep disruption, psychosis symptoms, ideas of reference, etc., became much more apparent, to the point of her being admitted to Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital. Jessy stayed in the hospital for a little under a week, in which time she was clinically diagnosed with Postpartum Psychosis as well as Bipolar Disorder.

Jessy has had a strong healing journey, and is continuing to get the help she needs, but even though there was improvement with her first stay, she had to be re-admitted on Monday January 27th, less than 2 days from her first release. There is no telling how long this stay, or her journey of healing will take, but she is improving and we are all so proud of her. Because of her stay and possible adverse medication effects, she is not able to pump for Oswald at this time.

Between the NICU stay, Behavioral Hospital Stays, cost of medications, therapy, baby formula, and much more, my sister and her family can use all the help they can get with these amounting costs. Because we have no definitive goal at this time, any kind of help is appreciated such as sharing and spreading Jessy’s gofundme page.
