Hi Everyone.
On 1/24/2026, we unexpectedly lost a beautiful light in our lives. Jessica LoBue, known fondly to all of us as Jess, passed away suddenly at the age of 42, leaving behind a void that words cannot begin to fill.
Jess was a selfless, loving force of nature. To know her was to know true kindness. She was the person who would do anything for her friends and family, and her devotion was most evident in the way she tirelessly took care of her parents. She moved through the world with a gentle, giving spirit that prioritized everyone else's needs before her own.
Her life was defined by her passions and the joy she shared with others. Jess was a talented artist who loved to express herself through painting and drawing, and she had a massive heart for animals.
To her online community, she was a pillar of support. Known as xlkaratechoplx, Jess was a dedicated gamer who loved the thrill of titles like Resident Evil, but her greatest role was that of a supportive friend. If you were a friend who streamed on Twitch, you knew Jess would be there. No matter what, she was always present in the chat, cheering her friends on and being a constant, loyal presence in their lives.
When Jess laughed, she laughed with her whole heart. She had a famous tendency to snort when she got really going—a sound that we all came to love because it meant she was truly, purely happy. Whether she was snorting at a "terrible" movie or a chaotic co-op moment, her joy was infectious.
Because her passing was so sudden, her family is now facing the heavy burden of unexpected end-of-life expenses while navigating this tragic loss. We have started this fundraiser to help Jess’s family during this incredibly painful time. All donations will go directly toward her final arrangements and supporting her loved ones.
If Jess ever touched your life with her art, her kindness, or a shared laugh in chat, please consider donating. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this link with your community would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping us honor the memory of a woman who gave so much to everyone else.
Rest in peace, Jess. You are and will be truly deeply missed. We’ll keep the game going for you, Karate.
