Our beautiful friend Jess is currently fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia after being diagnosed on the 1st of March, 2026.

She has already gone through her first round of intense chemotherapy, with 2–3 more rounds still ahead of her and a bone marrow transplant following this. It’s going to be a long road to recovery with a lot of time in hospital.

During this time, she’s unable to work, which adds an extra layer of stress on top of everything she’s already facing.

We’ve created this fundraiser to reach out to those closest to her - we’d love to support her in any small way we can while she focuses on healing. All donations welcome - every little bit counts!

Jess is one of those people who naturally brightens a room. With her big smile and warm, upbeat personality, she brings positivity to everyone she meets. Many of you may know Jess from the Newcastle Beach Kiosk where she served your morning coffee, from the local netball courts, or from her adventures on ski slopes in Canada and beyond.

Jess has always shown kindness and generosity to the people around her. Now we have the chance to come together as a community and return that kindness by supporting her.
