It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating loss of Jessie Orbin Jr., who passed away on June 14, 2026, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Jessie suffered a severe brain injury that was not survivable, leaving his family, friends, and community heartbroken.
We are asking for the support of our community during this unimaginable time to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses and funeral arrangements. Jessie did not have life insurance, and any contribution, no matter the amount, will help his family focus on grieving and honoring his memory.
Jessie was only 20 years old, but the impact he made on those around him was extraordinary. He grew up in the harness racing community at The Meadows, where his father, Jessie Orbin Sr., has been a trainer for many years. Following in the footsteps of the sport he loved, Jessie worked as a groom for the Sarah Andrews Stable. His passion for the horses in his care was evident to everyone who knew him. In particular, his beloved Fancy Like Lou shared a special bond with him and will deeply miss the care and affection he gave every day.
Jessie was known for his kind and generous heart. He was the type of person who would give someone the shirt off his back without hesitation. He often put others before himself, including his siblings, whom he adored. One story that perfectly captures who Jessie was: he once went without buying himself a Lovie’s Ice Cream treat because he only had enough money to make sure his younger siblings could enjoy one.
Recently, Jessie proudly purchased a motorcycle, something he had worked hard for and was incredibly excited about. He loved that bike and was proud of the accomplishment. More than anything, he wanted to make his father proud and continue the family’s love of motorcycles.
Jessie was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, where he began an outstanding wrestling career. He continued his education and athletic success at Waynesburg University, where he excelled both on and off the mat. His wrestling accomplishments include:
• 107-25 career record
• 2× PAC Champion
• 2× Regional Placer
• 2× Waynesburg Male Athlete of the Year
• 8× Waynesburg Male Athlete of the Week
• 2025-26 PAC Tournament MVP
• 7× PAC Wrestler of the Week
While these achievements were impressive, those who knew Jessie will remember him most for his character, his loyalty, his work ethic, and the love he showed to his family, friends, teammates, coworkers, and animals.
Jessie was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. We are grateful for any support you can provide during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping the Orbin family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for helping us honor Jessie’s life and support his family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
