While Jessica and baby Kei were on their way to MomsRising Capitol Days on Feb 27th, they were rear ended at a high rate of speed on the freeway. After being taken to the hospital by ambulance, thankfully they were released later that night with no serious injuries. While we are so grateful that they will be able to physically and emotionally recover from this horrible experience, they have been left with financial burdens as a result. The full extent of these bills will be better understood in the coming weeks, so we may update fundraising goals as the costs from car insurance deductibles and medical bills are better understood. Their car was totaled as a result of the collision and the other driver does not have insurance.
