To sum things up for a short read:

Eric and Connie Hynes are dear friends of mine and have just experienced something that no parents should ever have to. Their daughter was called home by Jesus unexpectedly with too many chapters left blank in her book. Jessi Hynes was a young mother and leaves behind a grieving fiancé (Blake) and a 3 month old baby boy (Oakland).

My name is Justin Laney and I am the father of two precious little girls, Kyleigh and Kinsleigh. My life revolves around these two and their mother. Times are busy and hectic but we wouldn’t have it any other way. I have always heard “The days are long but the years are fast” and I never understood it much until I had a family of my own.

A family that I have grown close to over the past few years holds testament to these quoted words above.

A few days ago I received devastating news of an unexpected death to my coworkers only daughter. I attended high school with Jessi and accidentally came across her father years after graduation in a desperate need of some skilled labor. Over the last seven years we have had each others back through thick and thin. A man that would do anything for me and near about anybody and will cringe when he finds out I have reached out for help for his family in these dark times.

I ask that you give anything you can to lessen the struggle of the times they have ahead of them. Not only for funeral services but for the tender years ahead for a 3 month old baby boy without the care and nurturing of his mother. For the overnight change to a single working parent and grieving fiancé for Blake. For the hardship of the years cut short for Eric and Connie with their only child.

No amount of money will ever fix this situation but I will personally see to it that everything raised over funeral expenses gets allocated to a fund for young Oakland and I know that his grandparents will use it for his best interests.

I wish I could do it all myself but they need our help more than ever.
