Jesse, Bethany, Silas, Shiloh, Lucy, and Atticus Morgan were at "an amazing lake cottage in Maine (Sat, June 1) and were simply enjoying life together on our last full day here. We were eating a quick lunch by the lake and the kids decided to try badminton in the front yard. Bethany and I were relaxing in the back when we heard screaming.
Due to a freak accident with a racquet that broke on a downward swing, a sharp piece had entered Lucy’s skull while she was sitting on the sideline and caused catastrophic injury." (from Jesse's blog)
Lucy is in a hospital in Portland, ME. Thankfully, Bethany and Jesse’s families have been able to travel to be with them in person.
Tragedies like this take a toll on all aspects of life - emotional, physical, mental, and financial.
This page serves as a place to provide them extravagant financial support - to help pay for meals while they are away from home, lodging for family, medical costs … whatever they need.
Update: June 5, Lucy went to be with the Lord. Please keep praying for the Morgans as they walk through these next days, weeks, months, and years without their sweet Lucy here with them.
Lucy’s funeral will be Saturday, June 15, at 11am ET and will be live-streamed at www.greenpondbible.org.
