Support for Jerry Homiak

Jerry Homiak is one of my best friends and, unfortunately, he's been having a rough time lately with lots and lots of medical bills.  He needs our help!

Many of you know that Jerry is the Founder of Pirates Care which also sponsors the annual Parade of Lights on our local waterways.  He's been a good friend to many of us and I want us to help him defray the incredible costs of the medical procedures he's been undergoing lately.

Jerry has Crohn's Disease and Cancer and is dealing with the medical treatments for both.  Currently, he's getting treated with chemotherapy followed by radiation treatment.  He has Lymphoma on the right side of his neck and head.  While his insurance co-pays his medical costs, the total balance of what he owes personally has put him into several financial risks.

I know how much he is hurting and how hard it is for him to ask anyone for money.  That's why I'm asking you on his behalf.  Our goal of $10,000 doesn't pay for all of the medical costs, but it does help to get his expenses more under control.  With every treatment or stay in the hospital, he accrues more and more debt.

Jerry has always loved to work and keep busy, but his illness has now made it virtually impossible to do that.  He's even had to give up his beloved Cockatoo to one of his relatives because he can no longer care for him.
