Support Our Family in Honoring Jerry and Constance Keyes
Hi everyone. As many of you know, we recently lost both of our beloved parents, Jerry and Connie Keyes, tragically on the same day. While we work through the shock and grief of losing them so suddenly, my brother and I are also facing the immediate responsibilities that come with handling their affairs in two different states.
Why We’re Fundraising
We’re asking for a bit of support because there are several urgent expenses we must cover before we can settle their estate and bring them to their final resting place in Indian River, MI, in June of 2026. Probate can take months to open and even longer to settle, and in the meantime, the financial burden falls entirely on us.
These upfront costs include:
- Funeral and cremation expenses
- Plot and headstone
- Securing, clearing, and managing the Michigan property that was destroyed
- Preparing the Florida property for listing and eventual sale
- Travel, initial legal fees, and other estate-related administrative costs
These are not optional expenses. They are required before we can move forward with settling the estate and honoring our parents’ wishes.
The sale of the properties through probate will cover the legal fees, creditors, and the new roof, which was awaiting its final inspection when the fire occurred.
