Dear friends and family,
Please consider donating to Jerome to help with out of pocket costs due to his medical emergency.
Jerome would never ask for help, which is one reason we are.
On Saturday 5/30/23 while chopping firewood, Jerome began to experience extreme fatigue, nausea, and a heaviness in his chest(which he thought was his back needing to be adjusted). Well, Jerome being Jerome decided to push through and finish the job. After awhile he was unable to keep up the pace and the symptoms began to show and his mom, Coleen became very concerned.
He stopped working, but the symptoms didn’t relieve. His mom pushed to take him to be looked at as she knew something wasn’t right. They called Jess, his amazing nurse sister, who said- get to the ED, you are having a heart attack. Sure enough, he had a blockage that required a stent to be placed in one of his main arteries. Thanks to the medical team at Providence, Jerome is alive. He is still currently in the hospital but should be discharged soon.
Moral of the story: Jerome can’t chop wood!
