On Monday morning, our family received the heartbreaking news of my sister's passing. As we try to navigate this difficult time, my focus is on supporting my nephews, Jeremy and Wyatt, and bringing some relief to my parents, who are carrying so much grief. The holidays are always a time for family, but this year, they feel especially heavy for us. I want to do everything I can to make sure Jeremy and Wyatt still feel the warmth and joy of Christmas, even as they face such a tremendous loss.
We are raising funds to provide gifts for the boys—both essentials they need and, hopefully, a few special items that can bring them comfort and a sense of normalcy. I also hope to create moments of peace for my parents, whether through a nice dinner together or maybe a small trip to help take their minds off the pain, even if just for a little while. Every bit of support will go directly toward helping my family find hope and healing during this season.
If you’re able to help, please know how much it means to us. And whether you can give or not, I encourage you to check on your loved ones during these trying times. No one should have to face hardship alone, and your kindness—big or small—makes a world of difference.
