Jeremy Newman, a proud member of the Kelso High School class of 1989 and a fellow Hilander, is facing one of the toughest battles of his life. As a classmate and friend, I’m reaching out because Jeremy is currently in the hospital in Bellingham, struggling with heart failure and kidney problems. Over the past year, he’s been out of work on medical leave, and the family’s finances have been stretched to the limit. His wife, Tesha, has been working tirelessly to keep things afloat, but they’ve had to drain their retirement and savings just to get by. Their children—Cecilia (17), Oliver (14), and Elliott (10)—are doing their best to stay strong, but the challenges are mounting.

The Newman family needs our help now more than ever. The funds raised will go directly toward essential living expenses, like their mortgage and supporting the kids, so Jeremy and Tesha can focus on his recovery without the constant worry of making ends meet. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in their lives during this difficult time.
