We never imagined our lives would change so suddenly. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in March 2024, and we learned he had been living with it for about three years without knowing. The news has taken a huge toll on our family, especially with our five-year-old daughter. Every day is filled with worry and uncertainty as we try to navigate this difficult journey together.

The financial strain has been overwhelming. We live paycheck to paycheck, and every bit of our income goes toward bills just to keep a roof over our heads. Now, with my husband’s health declining, I am facing the reality of planning for his funeral and trying to make sure my daughter and I will be okay when the time comes. We have no extra help, and the thought of doing this alone is terrifying.
