On February 6, 2026, our family received the devastating news that our dad has Stage IV metastatic cancer. At this advanced stage, the cancer has spread beyond its original site to distant organs, and while doctors are doing everything they can, his condition is not curable. The focus now is on comfort, symptom management, and maintaining his quality of life. Despite all appropriate interventions, his prognosis is poor, and his life expectancy is estimated to be less than four months.

As his children—Jennifer, Vincent, and Melani—we are doing everything possible to make his remaining time as comfortable, peaceful, and filled with love as we can. My brother recently moved here to help care for our dad, and together we are facing not only the emotional challenges but also the financial burdens that come with home care, medical treatments, and end-of-life arrangements. We were heartbroken to discover that our dad has no burial or savings set up, which has added to our worries during this already difficult time.
