My name is Ryan, and I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister-in-law, Jennifer Boggess, during this extremely heartbreaking time our family is facing. Earlier today, January 4, 2026, we lost my brother-in-law, Patrick Boggess, suddenly and unexpectedly. Patrick was a devoted, loving husband to Jennifer and an incredible father to their 1-year-old daughter, Alina. He was the kind of man who lit up every room with his loyalty, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family. At just 35, he had so much life ahead—dreams of watching his little girl grow up, building memories together, and supporting Jen through everything. His passing has left an enormous void that words can't describe. Jen is now facing this unimaginable grief while caring for their young daughter alone. On top of the emotional pain, the sudden nature of Pat's death means the family wasn't prepared for the financial challenges ahead. We're coming together to give Pat the dignified farewell he deserves and to ease the burden on Jen and their baby during this difficult transition.
How the funds will be used:
All donations will go directly to Jen to cover:
Funeral and memorial service expenses (including casket/urn, service, and any burial or cremation costs)
Immediate living needs like mortgage, utilities, groceries, and childcare so Jen can focus on grieving and being there for their daughter
Any unexpected costs during this time
Our goal is to help cover these essentials and provide some breathing room for the family. Every single dollar makes a difference—no amount is too small. If we raise more than needed for immediate expenses, the extra will support ongoing needs for Jen and their little one, like future childcare or family counseling. We are overwhelmed with grief right now, but also incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support we've already felt. If you knew Pat, you know how much he cherished his family—any contribution honors his memory and helps carry them forward. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and generosity. Please share this fundraiser with anyone who might want to help. We'll post updates as we plan the service and move forward.
With love and gratitude,
Ryan Lacey
