Support for Jen & Fam During Her Cancer Fight
Donation protected
My sister-in-law, Jen, and brother Bob live in Colorado. High school sweethearts, and married 27 years now, you see just how special their life together is walking past the wall of pictures, sweet images of family trips and unforgettable moments they’ve created together.
Including Jen’s nursing school graduation picture. A few years ago, Jen accomplished her dream to become a nurse after years of focusing on raising their young kids and giving her focus to her family.
Now our caring and compassionate RN needs a nurse herself.
She just received the difficult, life-changing news that she has cancer.
While this was shocking and difficult news in itself, before she could get the first tests done, it was quickly apparent just how serious her case already was. Fast forward to three short weeks later, she found herself checked into the ED with severe pain and discomfort.
They considered her case complex and very aggressive, needing a team of doctors to quickly assess and plan life-saving treatment for cancer found in her colon, that has spread to her ovaries and liver.
But, she has officially begun her fight!! As of Friday, she has just started her first round of chemo and will be seeing how her body is responding to the treatment over the next few days.
I am incredibly proud of her and see her as so strong and brave to face this cancer with everything she has, including some quick-witted, Jen-style humor.
First, I am asking for prayer. We believe God can do miracles, and that nothing is impossible for Him. Truly nothing.
I am also humbly asking for donations for their family. Donations will be used for groceries, medical costs, things to help make her comfortable, to support the needs that come with traveling to the hospital, loss of income and the unexpected. One of the greatest gifts we can give them is financial support that helps ease the mental burden that is carried alongside all the other concerns a family faces with a cancer diagnosis of wife and mom.
My sister-in-law Jen, my brother Bob, son Jordan, daughters Taiyler and Kenna appreciate your love and support for their family during Jen’s battle with cancer. I can say knowing her the past 33 years-she is one tough woman and I look forward to the day we celebrate her cancer survivor story.
All my best, thanks, love for you all, and gratefulness for your generosity to our family,
