On Thursday May 1, Pete and Melinda’s son was involved in a terrible accident at work. He tragically lost both of his legs and is currently recovering in Foothills hospital.

We are so thankful that he survived and that his injuries are not even more catastrophic. However, he still has a very long road ahead and will obviously face a lot of adversity on the path to adjusting to life as a double amputee.

I am hoping that donations will help alleviate the cost of uncovered future therapies, travel to and from Calgary for the family, as well as missed income as his family supports his recovery both at home and away from home. The journey will be long with a lot of new changes and challenges, and the last thing this family needs is to have the added concern of financial burden.

This is an unfathomable adjustment for anyone to have to undergo. He is facing it with incredible strength but will need a lot of love and support as this journey continues.
